hi all! i can’t publish my post yet because my computer won’t let me upload pictures. however, i simply cannot wait until tomorrow to say that this dish was a hit at our house. sara, thanks for a great pick! if anyone is thinking of skipping this week’s project, please don’t because you will miss out. trust me! i will be back with my link.
Oh dear, I think you’ve got me convinced! I really wasn’t feeling up to doing any cooking… have been at the hospital with my Dad – but he just got out of his quadruple bypass surgery and he is doing just fine, so I am breathing a sigh of relief and feeling very blessed.
Thanks for the push guys, I’m looking forward to tackling the dish tomorrow!!
Hi Erin – So glad to hear your dad is okay! I didn’t have a chance to cook this weekend either but am also inspired to play some catch-up this week now.
I had a cold this weekend AND had to work through it, so I sent my sous chef to the store for me with a halfhearted list, on which I forgot to include salmon. Reading through your posts I’m inspired to try again sometime this week, but in the meantime, this recipe reminded me of a post I made 3 years ago, when I first started my blog and learning to cook!
Phew. Finally made the dish, though I did mess around with it a bit. I love soba noodles!!! I switched out cabbage and broccoli for the spinach and salmon and it was delish!
Pingback: Black Sesame Sea Bass + Asian Soba Noodles
Great pick Sara! I LOVE anything and everything Asian influenced so this was a big winner to me.

So beautiful! I was especially grateful for a phone call this afternoon to pick up two fresh crabs…and for my husband who cracked and cleaned them. Needless to say, my sesame noodles were featured fresh crab and smoked salmon in addition to shitake mushroom, kale, and green beans. Yummy. http://culinary-adventures-with-cam.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-food-matters-project-sesame-noodles.html

i went vietnamese with my noodle dish this week:

I seared some Ahi and served it on a bed of Kaffir lime leaves. Made a side of oshitashi and noodles. Great pick Sara!

I used tofu instead of salmon – the first time I fried tofu – and it was really nice.
